Parkline supports the need for housing and transit- friendly design, while simultaneously enhancing the quality of life for surrounding neighbors by creating a park-like environment for gathering and recreation, abundant open space and a network of bicycle and pedestrian paths.

Community Feedback & Plan Updates

The plan developed with neighbors and the community features 800 homes, with a more than 1-acre parcel of land dedicated to an affordable housing developer. Parkline envisions approximately 20 to 30 percent of its housing will ultimately be affordable housing.

Based off community feedback over the past three years, Parkline’s plan has been updated to:

  • Reduce the housing density and elevations directly adjacent to existing family homes by replacing apartment-style housing with townhomes to help preserve the character of the neighborhood.
  • Locate higher density housing closer to transit at the project’s northwest corner along Ravenswood.
  • Connect the site with surrounding trail networks and offer access through the community via bike and pedestrian paths.
  • Preserve heritage trees and prioritize open green space.
  • Include a dedicated emergency water reservoir for city-wide use.
  • Refine spaces for amenities based on community priorities.
  • Dedicate more than 1-acre parcel to an affordable housing developer.
